The Maternity Hospital offers excellent conditions, in a calm and pleasant environment, for the birth of a new member of your family.

Resources

The Maternity Service has excellent physical, technological, and human resources;

• It has a clinical staff of obstetricians, neonatologists, and anaesthesiologists of recognized competence;
• The nursing staff specializes in care for pregnant women and new-borns

Maternity Ward

Equipped with suites and single rooms with bathrooms, duly equipped with excellent privacy and security, providing a quality reception to the pregnant mother, the couple, and the baby.

The pregnant mother may be accompanied, including at night, by her companion with accommodation conditions. 

The rooms have excellent hotel conditions, with TV and Internet.

Birth

Labour can take place in the room in a calm environment. The pregnant mother may have with her, if she so wishes, a companion during this phase. She may also choose to perform epidural analgesia.

The Delivery Ward is located inside the Maternity Hospital, providing all the means of assistance to the mother and her newborn. The baby will be observed by the pediatrician at birth, constantly staying in the eyesight of the parents.

In the case of cesarean section, the companion may remain with the mother, even during the surgery in the Operating Room, attending the birth.

During hospitalization, the mother and newborn will always be assisted by nurses who are specialists in Maternal and Obstetric Healthcare, who will provide help, support, and guide the couple in their new role as Parents.

Safety

With your child’s safety in mind, the Maternity Unit is equipped with several security systems, including an electronic bracelet for the baby. The Service has monitored access, requiring the identification of the person who visits it, and has a video surveillance system.

All our babies are covered by the Alta Segura Project upon discharge from the Maternity Ward. The restraint system (chair/egg) where the baby will be transported will be checked, and correctly placed inside the vehicle in order to guarantee maximum safety in the transport of the newborn.

Post-Childbirth

Postpartum support is provided when contacting the 24-hour Mom line.
