Dental Implants
Its objective is to carry out a rehabilitative diagnosis that aims to fill the absence of teeth through the placement of implants, adopting, whenever possible, the method of “immediate loading” surgery and teeth on the same day.
The Process
In the 1st consultation, beginning with a careful clinical history evaluation, a clinical examination of the oral cavity and an orthopantomography is performed as auxiliary means of diagnosis that will allow the establishment of the first approach for a personalized treatment plan. Scaling is included in the 1st Consultation.
In the 2nd consultation, it may be necessary to perform a CBCT – Cone Beam Computed Tomography clinical analysis and of course, study models.
Then you will enter the surgical phase with the placement of the implant, under local anesthesia and with minimal discomfort. In some situations, it may be necessary to resort to bone regeneration surgery, which may occur before or during implant placement.
If the clinical situation allows, it is still in this consultation that the “immediate load” or “same day” prosthesis is placed.
Results
The definitive prosthesis is placed only when the implant is fully Osseo integrated, which can take between 3 and 6 months.
Maintenance
Finally, the maintenance phase, a stage of special importance for the success of the treatment and which consists of regular consultations every 6 months, is crucial for the implant to remain healthy and there is no risk of periodontal diseases, as is peri-implantitis.
